Tha God Fahim
Wide Berth
If you like a lo-fi and jazzy take on dusty hip hop then this one's for you. It finds lowkey production from Mach-Hommy in perfect harmony with Fahim's thoughtful words and stylish delivery. The album - which isn't a first collaboration for this duo - is packed with plenty of samples from the worlds of soul and funk and so bare the by now signature sounds of both. Complex and street-level lyricism elevates these tunes beyond the sum of their parts with plenty of spiritual moments like 'Foto Synth' next to tracks imbued with a certain optimism such as 'Points Of Light.'
